GainsWave ED Treatment: Success or Failure would depend on your waist size.
When it comes to obesity Erectile Dysfunction, size matters but not in the way you think! (Big Belly and ED!)

What is GainsWave therapy for ED?
GainsWave is one form of Acoustic wave therapy for ED and has been remarkably successful in improving the sex life of men when Viagra, Cialis and other ED medications stop working.

What is the relationship between Obesity and Erectile Dysfunction?
Obesity is strongly correlated with erectile dysfunction due to its impact at several levels on the sequence of normal sexual function in men.

What is the best way of measuring Obesity as it relates to ED?
Obesity is measured in several ways. Weight, BMI and waist circumference are the most common ones. Most medical offices monitor Body Mass Index as a measure of health and wellness.

To my surprise, I learnt recently that the correlation between increased waist circumference and Erectile dysfunction was stronger compared to other measures of obesity like BMI.

The study that changed the way I help patients with ED:
A study published in the international journal of andrology in 2016 showed that waist circumference is superior to weight and BMI in predicting sexual symptoms in men with hypogonadism and erectile dysfunction.

A group of men with low T levels were included in the study. 3 % of them had normal waist circumference of 37.6 inches. 28% and 69% displayed waist circumferences that were increased (37.6 inches–40.76 inches) or significantly increased (≥40.76 inches), respectively. All of them were treated with Testosterone injections and their weight, BMI and waist circumference were monitored and correlated with their degree of ED improvement.

Patients with the greatest reduction in waist circumference showed the most improvement in ED scores compared to those who had lower reduction in their waist circumference.

The interesting finding in this study was that the correlation between weight, BMI and improvement in ED scores were relatively minor compared to waist circumference.

Treating ED: A holistic approach using waist circumference as a predictive measure of improving sexual function.

Those men who present with obesity, reduction in waist circumference is of paramount importance to improve erectile function and should be part of a holistic approach with Gainswave pulse wave therapy or any other form of intervention in addition to maintaining adequate levels of Testosterone.

What is the most effective Diet plan to help reduce waist size and improve ED?
